Shri Rahul Kumar Purwar IAS

Vice Chancellor (Incharge)

Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University(JRSU) is a unique and new state university established in the year 2016 with a noble vision and mission for higher learning. It is only one of its kind in the entire Eastern Region of the country and 3rd of its kind in the entire country. Currently it is running at its temporary location in Morhabadi, Ranchi. The Government of Jharkhand had allocated 75 acres of land in khunti district for its new campus which is under construction. This University admits students both in undergraduate and graduate subjects like Forensic Science, Criminology, Computer Application and Cyber Security, Industrial Security, Disaster Management, Police Sciences etc. we have some excellent in house faculty members and some eminent guest faculty also takes classes and interacts with the students.
Needless to say that this University is gaining in popularity by every passing day and it is our collective responsibility to make this higher learning institution great in the country in the years to come. I appeal to the students and faculty to inculcate some of the most important traits like discipline, dedication, devotion, determination, cleanliness, courage, humility, fearlessness, enthusiasm and zest for learning. Let us pledge that we together make this University a great University in the most beautiful state of Jharkhand. I urge to the students to enter to learn and leave to serve their mother land about which the hero of Ramayana exhorted “ Mother and Motherland are greater than Heaven” (जननी जन्मभूमिश्च स्वर्गादपि गरीयसी ) (जननि और जन्भूमि स्वर्ग से भी श्रेस्ट है ) On my part I assure you along with my team to handhold and facilitate in this great learning voyage in this University.
I wish you to ponder over on this famous quote on education by one of the greatest spiritual leaders of the modern era Swami Vivekananda “ Education is not the amount of information that is put into your brain and runs riot there. It is man-making, character building, life building assimilation of ideas.
I conclude for the time being with this famous saying from our ancient Scriptures which says “ Sā Vidyā Yā Vimuktaye” – “that is knowledge which liberates, which gives freedom and freedom is a spiritual value.”
